PGT Hurricane
All impact-resistant windows are built pretty much the same way, but not all are created equal. PGT is a Florida-based company that realizes the importance of having top tier glass, especially in hurricane-prone areas. We leveraged three broadcast commercials to emphasize the different aspects that prove PGT outshines their competition. In this 30-second spot we highlighted how these products can protect a home no matter the weather. PGT was the first window maker in the state of Florida to offer impact-resistant glass and that came about following the destruction caused by Hurricane Andrew. In this spot we used visual affects and 3D animation to simulate hurricane-like conditions outside while the couple inside seem unbothered because they are protected by their PGT windows and doors. We show each level of protection as we move through the glass and end the spot with the sun shining.
This spot was one of the more difficult ones since we had to completely rebuild the scene looking out the door. In the actual house this door looks out onto a firepit. Our VFX animator was on set to collaborate with the crew to ensure we were able to create a poignant scene for the final product.
