Employee Spotlight: Jason Chamberlain

Posted by John Haslam

Jason-(1-of-2)With roughly a month under his belt, Jason Chamberlain is technically Skystorm Productions’ newest employee, but he’s been an important team member for over a year now.

Jason is the Senior Video Editor for Skystorm Productions, located in Lake Mary, Florida. His task is to ensure the raw video footage is compiled, edited, and produced to perfection. Prior to his current position, he acted as a freelance editor while working on a multitude of Skystorm projects over the last year.

“It’s like putting together a huge puzzle with trying to fit all the little parts together,” Jason comments on editing. “It’s an exercise in problem solving.”

Inspiration and new ideas come to Jason through movies and quality TV programming like that found in the History channel’s many documentaries. He also has a deep appreciation for music videos and the cutting edge artsy tones and creativity many of them use. “Staying current is extremely important in this business,” he says.

Jason has over 15 years’ experience in the video production business. As a staff editor for Disney for many years, and, more recently, editing content for leading College Football Networks, he has enjoyed seeing the industry develop and expand its digital bounds.

Outside of work, Jason considers himself a normal guy who enjoys fishing, exercising, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ football.

“I’m happy to be working at a company where the bar is constantly raised and we each feel a deep sense of pride for what we do,” Jason says. “I’m just excited to come to work where I get to collaborate in creative ways with the innovative and talented people at Skystorm.”

While Jason gets a sense of satisfaction from collaborating professionally, he says that a greater satisfaction comes from happy clients. “What gives me the most satisfaction is that time after time our hard work pays off when our clients’ expectations are exceeded and they tell us they’re so happy they came to Skystorm with their project.”
